AI Assistant uses OpenAI and is only available as a separate module. You need to purchase the module here on Envato.

1. How to setup AI Assistant (Admin section)

  • To install the module, use the purchase code for your module purchase.
  • Enable the module for it to be accessible to your customers.

2. How to setup AI Assistant (Customer section)

  • Go to Automation > AI Reply Assistant
  • Enable AI Reply and add the following Open AI settings i.e. API Key, model, max tokens, temperature.
    • API Key: This is your API key from OpenAI, which allows you to access their services.
    • Model: Specify the AI model you want to use for generating responses use gpt-3.5-turbo-instruct
    • Max Tokens: Set the maximum number of tokens (words and characters) the AI can generate in a single response e.g. 150 (A typical range is between 50 and 150)
    • Temperature: This controls the creativity of the responses. Lower values (e.g., 0.2) make the output more focused and deterministic, while higher values (e.g., 0.8) make it more creative and random. e.g. 0.7
  • After saving you can proceed to setup the following:
    Enable automatic AI assistance for new conversations - (If you want AI assistant to be automatic every time a new conversation is started)Keyword(s) to start the AI agent - (Whenever a contact uses this keyword, the AI assistant will be turned on)Keyword(s) to stop the AI agent - (Whenever a contact uses these keywords, the AI assistant will be turned off)
  • Add information about your organization/business in the knowledge base by uploading doc or pdf files (The AI is programmed to only answer questions based on the contents of the knowledgebase).

3. Setting Up Voice Replies

To enable voice reply functionality in Swiftchats, you’ll need to download the FFmpeg binaries and place them in the correct location—no server-wide installation is required.
  1. Create the FFmpeg Folder
Inside your Swiftchats script, navigate to: storage/ffmpeg If this folder does not exist, create it manually.
  1. Download FFmpeg Binaries
Visit the official FFmpeg download page: https://ffmpeg.org/download.html From the list of builds, download the binaries for your server’s operating system. You will need:
  • ffmpeg
  • ffprobe
  1. Place Files in Swiftchats
After downloading, extract (if zipped) and copy both ffmpeg and ffprobe into the storage/ffmpeg folder you created. That’s it! Swiftchats will use these files for generating and handling voice replies—no system-level installation needed.
